I. Working principle of cement rotary kiln
Cement rotary kiln is a rotating equipment, mainly composed of cylinder, centrifugal wheel and supporting device, walking device, driving device, sealing device, etc. The cylinder is the main part. It is usually made of steel plate, with a length of 50-150 meters and a diameter of 2.5-6 meters.
The raw material of cement production line will be granular or powdery after being processed by crushing, mixing and grinding. These substances first pass through the kiln-entry device into the cylinder body and then move forward slowly with the rotation of the cylinder body in the cylinder body. In different areas of the kiln, the material undergoes different physical and chemical changes, leading to the formation of clinker for burning cement. This process can be divided into three stages:
Drying stage: in the higher temperature zone of the cylinder, the water on the surface of the material begins to evaporate, achieving the effect of drying;
Preheating stage: with the rotation of the kiln drum, the material gradually moves downwards and enters the area of higher temperature. Chemical reaction and oxidation reaction begin to take place. This stage is the key stage for burning cement clinker.
Calcination stage: Material enters the calcination area of kiln drum, the temperature reaches over 1450 degrees, and cement clinker gradually forms.
II. Application of Cement Rotary Kiln
Cement rotary kiln is mainly used in cement production line. Raw meal is burned into mature material and then ground to produce various cement products. At the same time, cement rotary kiln is also widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, environmental protection and other industries, mainly for high temperature treatment of different kinds of raw materials and products, such as coal, coke, kaolin, silicate, etc.
